A Columbia University graduate student suffered burns when a lab experiment went seriously wrong Monday.
University officials say the female student was mixing chemicals, which exploded. It happed at around 11:00 this morning in Havemeyer Hall.
The Fire Department says the student was treated at Harlem Hospital for second degree chemical burns.
No other students were injured.
