NY1's "From The Floor" segment now runs live throughout the day from the trading floor of the New York Stock Exchange.

To celebrate the event, Steve Paulus, the Regional Vice President of Time Warner Cable's Local News Division, got to ring the famed closing bell at 4 p.m. Tuesday.

He was joined by executives and guests from Time Warner Cable and NY1.

"I think it's a tribute to the journalists who work at NY1, who work for Time Warner Cable, that the company recognizes what we're doing for the company," Paulus said. "It's a tribute to them that he company singled us out as the people who would do this. It's a tremendous honor."

"So I think this is NY1 in the financial space kind of coming of age, doing segments from the floor, is extremely important to everybody who watches NY1, which is incredibly important to our customers in New York City and now these segments can actually be used across our news channels, whether they be in the Carolinas or Texas or even the West Coast," said Time Warner Cable COO Landel Hobbs.

NY1 launched its "From the Floor" segment back in April.
