A New Hampshire ski resort is making everyone feel like a kid again. NY1's Valarie D'Elia filed the following report.
For more than 100 years, Purity Spring Resort, between the Lakes Region and the White Mountains, has been firmly rooted in the hospitality industry of the Granite State.
With a history dating back to the early days as a bottler of spring water, the Hoyt family is now operating as a fifth generation family business: One that now bottles a winning formula for family travel.
King Pine is not the largest mountain but we are the best for families,
"It’s a small mountain, no one is going to get lost, we are able to focus on the kids or beginner adults and it just provides something for the whole family," says Steven Hoyt of Purity Spring Resort.
King Pine is the ski hill run by Purity Spring Resort with 17 slopes and trails and three triple chairlifts. Beginners can learn on a rope tow or the gentle magic carpet accessing the easiest terrain.
When the mountain isn't loaded with children, it's wide open to kids at heart who want to revisit the wonders of winter getaways past.
For two upcoming weekends, in late January and early March, Purity Spring is hosting an Adult Adventure Camp including such activities as X-country skiing, snowshoeing, ice skating, downhill skiing and tubing.
"We've priced it very competitively because it is going to introduce them to Purity Spring and we know they are going to fall in love and return," says Hoyt.
Rates are $279.50 per person based on double occupancy and includes two nights lodging, four meals, and select activities, that can be customized to your liking.
The Adult Adventure Camp dates are January 26-28 and March 2-4 with check-in on Sunday and check-out on Tuesday.
