A man who was found dead after a suspicious fire broke out this weekend inside a vacant Queens home was also shot, police investigators say.

The fire broke out just after 9:30 a.m. Sunday inside the home located at 119-30 146th Street in Jamaica.

The New York City Police Department says the victim, identified as James Minor of Poughkeepsie, was found in the basement.

By Monday the medical examiner was still determining the cause of Minor's death.

FDNY officials said it appears the fire was deliberately set.

Anyone with information on the case should contact the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS, or text CRIMES and then enter TIP577, or visit www.nypdcrimestoppers.com.
