A state-of the art Advanced Technology Training And Information Networking lab is opening up in Manhattan.

Officials held an opening ceremony on Thursday for the new ATTAIN lab at the Armory in Washington Heights.

State Senator Adriano Espaillat said that the goal is to narrow the widening technology divide and to give residents new opportunities.

"Not only will they getting training in the cutting-edge technology that's available today, but also in a way that will lead them to finding a job or getting into college," Espaillat said.

SUNY's Center for Academic and Workforce Development uses state funding to introduce ATTAIN in economically challenged communities. ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
