A Washington Heights elementary school has been cleared to reopen after it was evacuated Wednesday because of an asbestos scare.
Department Of Education officials say PS 115 on 177th Street near Saint Nicholas Avenue was evacuated after some plaster fell from a classroom ceiling.
Two rooms were isolated while workers cleaned up.
School officials decided to evacuate the entire building and students were sent to other neighborhood schools.
