UFT President Michael Mulgrew was elected to a full three-year term Wednesday.
He received 91 percent of the vote in the United Federation of Teachers election.
The 44-year-old was originally appointed in August 2009 by the union's executive board after Randi Weingarten became President of the American Federation of Teachers, the UFT's parent union.
