Officials at the Metropolitan Museum of Art say a record number of visitors are coming to the museum, as more than six million people visited the museum during the fiscal year that ended June 30.
The latest figure is about 600,000 more visitors than last year and its highest attendance ever recorded.
The number includes those who went to the Met's Cloisters museum and garden in upper Manhattan.
Met officials says popular attractions included its new galleries for Islamic Art and exhibits such as "Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty."
