Chris Christie Calls Astorino Campaign a 'Lost Cause'

Candidate for governor Rob Astorino spent some of his morning today not taking on his Democratic opponent, Andrew Cuomo, but instead attacking a fellow Republican, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie. Astorino says Christie should consider resigning as the head of the Republican Governors Association after calling Astorino's campaign a "lost cause." 8:34 PM

Former Councilman Takes the Stand on Day 3 of Corruption Trial

For the third day, former Queens City Councilman Dan Halloran took the stand at his own corruption trial, arguing he did not accept bribes in an elaborate corruption scheme. Halloran says thousands of dollars in cash he received was for legitimate work as a political consultant.
