President Barack Obama signed the $50.5 billion Hurricane Sandy relief bill Tuesday.
The Senate approved the measure by a 62 to 36 vote Monday, three months after the storm hit.
Obama applauded lawmakers for getting the bill passed, but criticized them for taking so long to do it.
The funding will primarily go toward rebuilding efforts by residents, businesses and state and local governments in all states affected by Sandy.
