Henrik Lundqvist recorded his fourth playoff shutout Monday night to give the New York Rangers a 2 games to 1 lead over the Ottawa Senators in the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals.

Lundqvist made 39 saves in the tight-checking 1-0 win at Scotiabank Place.

Forward Brian Boyle scored the Rangers' lone goal to make it three straight games with a tally.

Rangers rookie Carl Hagelin served the first game of a three-game suspension he received Monday morning for a hit on Senators captain Daniel Alfredsson during Saturday night's game at Madison Square Garden.

Hagelin apologized Sunday after a telephone hearing with NHL officials. Alfredsson did not play in Monday night's game.

Game 4 is Wednesday night in Ottawa.
