Yankees pitcher Andy Pettitte is scheduled to make his first start of 2012 on Sunday against the Seattle Mariners.

Pettitte returned to the Yankees this season after a one-year retirement in 2011.

He has been pitching in the minors since the season started to build his arm strength, but Yankees general manager Brian Cashman says there's no benefit to Pettitte staying in the minors any longer.

Pettitte holds the Major League record for postseason wins and has helped lead the Yankees to five World Series titles.

Sunday's game will be at Yankee Stadium and start at 1 p.m.
