President Barack Obama welcomed the Super Bowl Champion New York Giants Friday at the White House.

The team presented him with an autographed football and his own jersey.

The president praised the team for everything its members do off the field, including their support of the U.S. Military.

While the president stuck to football, it was the Giants' head coach who made a political jab.

"Offense, Defense and Special Teams doing their job. Each group having different objectives and motives, but playing in harmony for each other and for the good of everyone. Wouldn't it be nice if Congress were the same way," said Giants Head Coach Tom Coughlin.

"It's always a tremendous honor to meet President Obama and get to speak with him for a brief second," said Giants quarterback and Super Bowl MVP Eli Manning. "Just to shake his hand and offer him a jersey with his name, number 44 on the back, is a special memory."

Back in February, the Giants beat the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLVI, earning the franchise its fourth Super Bowl title.
