Giants player David Diehl was arraigned on drunk driving charges and released this afternoon after police say he smashed his car into several parked cars in Queens Sunday night.

Diehl, 31, a New Jersey resident, seen above right in a checkered shirt, appeared in Queens criminal court for the brief proceeding.

His driver’s license has been suspended pending prosecution.

Police the offensive lineman was arrested after his BMW hit three cars parked along 35th Street near Broadway in Astoria around 8:30 p.m.

No one else was inside the car with Diehl.

According to prosecutors, Diehl registered a blood alcohol content reading of .182 percent.

The legal limit in New York is .08 percent.

Cellphone video shot at the scene shows him being led away by police.

Diehl was treated at the scene and taken to a nearby station house.

In a statement issued through the Giants, Diehl says, "I've worked hard during my career to set a positive example, and yesterday I fell far short of this standard. I made a poor decision that I sincerely regret, and, as always, take full responsibility for my actions."

Before his arrest, Diehl was at the Scorpio Bar in Astoria watching a Euro Cup 2012 soccer match between Croatia and Ireland.

His next court appearance is scheduled for July 16.
