Woman Claims Poor High Line Design Led To Broken Ankle
A woman has filed a notice of claim against the city after she broke her ankle this summer during a stroll on the High Line.
Advocates for the park admit the elevated pathway has trip hazards, including a concrete structure built to evoke an old railroad platform.
The High Line has become a must-see destination since the first stretch opened this summer. It spans from Gansevoort Street to West 20th Street along the Hudson River.
The Friends of the High Line maintains, operates, and programs the park through a license agreement with the Parks Department.
