A Manhattan federal appeals court yesterday took a stronger stance against disbarred lawyer Lynne Stewart.

The court said it has serious doubts whether her sentence of just over two years was sufficient because of her crime's terror implications.

The panel added new instructions for the judge who will resentence Stewart, 70, for allowing her client's terrorism messages to reach his followers.

Stewart did not begin serving her sentence until last month.
