The Empire State Building is glowing green and white in honor of the New York Jets.
The skyscraper will stay lit in team colors through the weekend as Gang Green heads to San Diego, Calif. for Sunday's Divisional playoff.
Fans joined the Jets "Flight Crew" cheerleaders and former players Friday afternoon for the official lighting ceremony.
Former Jets wide receiver Wayne Chrebet was on hand to flip the switch.
It's a big thrill for us when the city gets behind us like this. It give you a feeling of invincibility and motivates you a bit more," said Chrebet. "I think we have a great team, a great chance of winning this week and going forward. So hopefully they can bring it home and keep the building lit green and white for a couple more weeks."
The Jets square off against the heavily favored San Diego Chargers at 4:40 p.m. Sunday. A win would put the Jets one game away from the Super Bowl.
The Jets have not made to the big game since 1969.
