A 58-year-old grandmother remains in critical condition after a hit and run in Harlem.

Police say the woman was struck while getting out of a car on West 139th Street.

Her leg had to be amputated.

Also injured were the woman's 14-month-old granddaughter and the child's father, who was removing the baby from the car at the time.

They were both treated and released from the hospital.

Police are looking for a silver SUV, possibly a BMW with damage to the driver's front side.

Anyone with information about the case is being asked to contact Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-577-TIPS, by texting TIP577 to CRIMES, or by going to NYPDCrimeStoppers.com.
