Police have arrested a man wanted in connection with the stabbing death of his roommate inside their Hell's Kitchen apartment earlier this week.

Police say Justin Waller, 31, was taken into custody Saturday afternoon at a friend's home in Manchester, Vermont.

He is being held on $500,000 bail.

Manchester police say Waller confessed to NYPD detectives that he killed 41-year-old John Lea, whom the Rutland Herald says was his partner.

Police did not give a motive.

Waller is scheduled to be arraigned Monday on a charge of being a fugitive from justice.

He is expected to face second-degree murder charges once he is extradited to New York.

Investigators say he was tracked to Manchester, where he once lived, through transactions on Lea's credit card.

Lea was found slashed in the throat and with stab wounds on his body Thursday inside his home on West 46th Street between 9th and 10th Avenues.

Lea's co-workers called police when he did not show up for work.
