A Times Square karaoke club worker plead guilty Tuesday to murder charges.
Syed Rahman is accused of killing Ingrid Rivera, 24, on the roof of the Spotlight Live club in August 2008.
Prosecutors say he beat Rivera with a steel pipe, slashed her throat, and stuffed her in a utility room.
Rahman is expected to get a sentence of 20 years to life in prison.
His lawyer says Rahman wanted to spare the victim's family, and his family the experience of a trial.
Rivera and Rahman did not know each other before that night.
It's not clear what led to the attack.
Rahman is scheduled to be sentenced on March 16th.
