A slew of performing pooches available for adoption took to the floor at the ASPCA's fifth-annual "Best In Show" talent competition in the Upper East Side Friday.
Eight pups of all shapes and sizes competed for the title in front of a panel of celebrity judges.
Dogs performed the limbo dance, showed off their skateboarding skills and jumped through hoops to impress the judges.
First-, second- and third-place winners were judged in several areas, including presentation and creativity.
"The dogs only get about 10 business days to practice, and considering that, they really did wonderfully," said Gail Buchwald of the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. "The real prize is getting an adopter, so hopefully all of these dogs will get adopted this weekend."
The event also kicks off the Valentine's Day Adopt-A-Thon and "I Love NYC Pets Month," a citywide adoption celebration sponsored by the Mayor's Alliance for New York City's Animals.
