A new addition to the Robert F. Kennedy bridge will soon make traveling to Randall's Island much easier.
The newly constructed exit ramp leading from the bridge to the island will open to traffic on April 5th.
The ramp is located about half a mile past the Bronx toll plaza on the southbound side.
The ramp will allow drivers better access to the island and relieve congestion on the bridge.
In the past, drivers had to cross multiple lanes of traffic at the Manhattan toll plaza to access the island.
The ramp cost about $20 million to build and is part of a 10-year, $275 million renovation project.
