The 17th annual "Taste of Times Square" was held Monday in the Crossroads of the World, with more than 50 area restaurants participating.
Visitors were able purchase tickets for $1 each and redeem them for a taste of the restaurants' signature dishes.
The event started off on Restaurant Row and has grown over the years.
Organizers say the recent bomb scare didn’t stop people from coming out.
"When you look at what’s happening here and you see that this place is absolutely mobbed, it’s a beautiful summer day, people are here, things are back to normal, not only are things back to normal, business is booming," said Times Square ALliance President Tim Tompkins.
"Well this is our first time here at the 'Taste of Times Square.' We just heard about it last week and decided to come out and taste the food that’s around here in the area," said one New Yorker.
The event, which serves as a kickoff to summer, also featured musical performances.
