Fashion Week's inaugural run at Lincoln Center may be disrupted by a picket line.
The biannual event is moving from Bryant Park to Lincoln Center for the next five years, but a dispute is brewing between management at the new location and the stagehand union that handles events there.
Local One has a contract to provide labor for events in most of the Lincoln Center complex, but they do not have an agreement to cover events where the Fashion Week tents will be pitched, in the plaza and in Damrosch Park.
Union officials say they handle events like Midsummer Night Swing and the Christmas tree lighting, so they should provide the labor for Fashion Week.
The union told NY1 that has "made its battle plans and are gearing up for a major push."
Lincoln Center and IMG Fashion, the event's producers, are trying to resolve the matter.
Fashion Week kicks off on September 9.
