Barnes & Noble is closing its flagship store in Lincoln Triangle at the end of January.
A spokeswoman for the book retailer says an increase in rent made it impossible to extend the lease at the 60,000 square foot location.
Barnes & Noble says it is searching for a new location on the Upper West Side and will reassign as many employees as possible to our other area stores.
The store at 66th Street and Broadway opened in 1995.
