Harlem's famed Apollo Theater is looking for fresh talent for its Amateur Night.

Auditions are being held at the theater Sunday.

The event comes a day after the Apollo held its first Amateur Night auditions in Brooklyn.

Singers, dancers, comedians, and other performers gathered in Bedford-Stuyvesant on Saturday to try out for a spot at Amateur Night: Brooklyn Night, which will be held in February.

"This is the first time we're digging for gold and diamonds in Brooklyn," said "Amateur Night" Executive Producer Marion J. Caffey.

"I like doing hip-hop a lot, so I just want a chance to show everyone who I'm made of," said one "Amateur Night" hopeful.

Those chosen from both auditions will compete in the 2011 season, which begins in January.

A $10,000 cash prize will be awarded to the winner at the end of the season.
