Columbia University students are being warned to steer clear of WikiLeaks.

The school's Office of Career Services has sent out an email warning students pursuing careers in diplomacy to avoid posting links or comments online related to the site.

The email sent last Tuesday warned that online discussion of WikiLeaks documents would cast doubt on students' ability to deal with confidential information.

According to the email an alum who works at the State Department contacted the school warning that the documents released by WikiLeaks are still considered classified.

Over the past several months the site has released hundreds of sensitive documents concerning -- among other things -- diplomatic relations, and the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
