Holiday spirit was on full display Saturday at the fourth annual "East Meets West" Christmas Parade in Lower Manhattan.
The parade featured floats, marching bands, and Chinese dance troupes.
Many people who spoke with NY1 say they enjoyed watching the performers make their way through Little Italy and Chinatown.
"It's our first time at the parade, and we're amazed by it," said one parade goer. "We're so happy to see the Chinese-Americans and the Italian-Americans together, as they belong together down in this community, so we had a great time."
"'The parade is a great parade," said another. "It shows the unity between Chinatown and Little Italy. We have a working relationship with Chinatown all year long, and this culminates that relationship."
NY1's own travel reporter Valarie D'Elia served as the parade's grand marshall.
