Authorities Seek Suspect In Washington Heights Stabbing

Police were trying to identify Saturday a man wanted in connection with a deadly Manhattan stabbing.

Authorities said the man seen above stabbed 26-year-old Juan Benito in the thigh Friday night on Saint Nicholas Avenue in Washington Heights.

Benito was taken to Harlem Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The suspect is described as being about 45 years old, with a medium build and a salt-and-pepper-colored beard.

He was last seen wearing a gray-hooded sweatshirt, black leather jacket, gray sweatpants and sneakers.
