The Intrepid Sea-Air-Space Museum has named its first-ever female president.

The museum's board of trustees announced that Susan Marenoff-Zausner, seen above, is being promoted to president, effective immediately.

Marenoff had served as executive director of the museum since 2005.

She takes over for Bill White, who stepped down last year just before the start of Fleet Week.

White's consulting company was investigated by the State Attorney General's office over business the firm did with the state pension fund.

White later paid a million-dollar penalty to the state, after he was accused of brokering investments in the fund without a license.
