Police are searching for a violent robber in Washington Heights.
The man was caught on surveillance video punching a woman in the elevator of her apartment building on June 9.
He fought with the victim and tried to steal her cell phone.
A similar attack was reported five days earlier. The suspect fled with the victim's cell phone in that incident.
