The September 11th Victim Compensation Fund has begun taking new applications, for those who have suffered long-term health issues related to the 2001 terror attacks.
People can now register for the fund online, the first step toward eligibility.
After that, they will receive a checklist of documents and information they will need to submit claims.
Most people have two years to file a claim.
