Occupy Wall Street protesters won't be occupying the courts after all.
Protesters had planned to demonstrate in front of a Manhattan federal courthouse on Friday, but a judge refused to overturn a ruling rejecting their permit.
Judge Lewis Kaplan said Thursday that a federal courthouse is not a public forum.
Organizers say their First Amendment rights were violated.
The demonstration was meant to mark the second anniversary of a U.S. Supreme Court ruling against spending limits by independent organizations.
Protesters plan to at rally in Foley Square instead.
