Cardinal-designate Timothy Dolan is heading to the Holy Land today.

Dolan is leading a group of 50 priests on a nine-day pilgrimage through the sacred sites of Israel.

During a lecture at Fordham Law School Tuesday night, Dolan once again spoke out against the Obama administration's health care policies involving birth control.

He said it's wrong to require Catholic hospitals, colleges and charities to provide health care that includes contraception coverage.

The Obama administration last week granted these organizations an extra year to comply with this rule.

But Dolan says supporters of other faiths agree that the policy is unfair.

"They would say that the government does not have the right to butt into the internal governance and teaching of the church. Which is what these mandates threaten to do," said Dolan.

Experts expect the issue to end up in court.

NY1 will travel to Rome next month for Archbishop Timothy Dolan's elevation to cardinal and will have full coverage of the event.
