A 22-year-old man admitted Tuesday that he killed an elderly nun in a car crash nearly two years ago in Manhattan.
Prosecutors say Dyson Williams was driving away from police the morning of June 22, 2010 after a string of armed robberies when he hit another car and a group of pedestrians at West 122nd Street and Lenox Avenue in Harlem.
Williams pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and other charges.
Sister Mary Celine Graham of the Franciscan Handmaids of Mary order was killed and four others were injured in the accident.
Williams is expected to receive 17 years to life in prison when he is sentenced on May 30.
