A 22-year old man was arraigned Wednesday on allegations that he sexually assaulted a woman while posing as a neighborhood watch volunteer.
According to court documents, Ivan Ramos approached a 29-year old woman on Perry Street in the West Village early on April 15.
The victim told him she had lost her cellphone and cash.
Ramos allegedly told her he was part of a neighborhood watch and allegedly led her into a deserted stairway and sexually assaulted her.
Ramos was arraigned on charges of first-degree rape, criminal sexual act, assault and criminal possession of stolen property.
