Straphangers can now stay connected underground in Chelsea.

Free Wi-Fi is available from now through September 7 in six stations along the Sixth and Eighth Avenue lines.

They include the stations at 8th Avenue and 23rd Street, 8th and 14th, 7th and 14th, and 6th and 14th.

Riders can connect to the "Free Boingo Wi-Fi" network to use tablets, e-readers and smartphones while waiting for the train.

The costs are being covered by Google Offers as part of a sponsorship agreement with Boingo Wireless, the company that is managing and operating the Wi-Fi services in the stations.

The MTA says wireless access will eventually be available in 270 underground stations around the city.
