The Port Authority reiterated Thursday that construction of the September 11th Museum continues despite an ongoing financial dispute.

A day after more than 200 September 11th family members sent a letter to Governors Cuomo and Chris Christie expressing frustration about construction delays, the Port Authority addressed the dispute after its monthly meeting Thursday.

Port Authority Executive Director Patrick Foye said more than 70 construction works have been working at the museum site each day this week and construction has never stopped because of the conflict.

"The completion of the museum as soon as possible is a first order of priority for the Port Authority, for the governors of both states and for the people of the region," Foye said.

The Port Authority claims the museum's foundation owes it hundreds of millions of dollars.
