The New York City Police Department says a stolen Salvador Dali painting worth an estimated $150,000 has been returned.

The 1949 painting went missing from The Venus Over Manhattan gallery on Madison Avenue on June 19 but it was recently mysteriously mailed back to JFK Airport from Europe.

An email sent to the gallery provided a tracking number.

Surveillance cameras showed a man enter the gallery with a black cloth bag. He was later seen leaving the gallery with the painting.

Police are still investigating. There is no word on any arrests.

The gallery is refusing to comment.
