The U.S. women's gymnastics team was in New York Tuesday, lighting the Empire State Building red, white and blue in honor of Team USA.

16-year-old Gabby Douglas spoke about being the first African-American to win the all-around title.

"Such an honor and I'm so happy," she said. "My whole thing was that I wanted to inspire adults, a nation and for young girls to look up to me and just say 'ooh, if she can do it, then I want to do it and everything is possible.' So it just feels amazing."

Douglas and her teammates also rang the closing bell at the New York Stock Exchange.
