A woman is dead after being hit by a taxi in Manhattan Monday.
Police say 65-year old Pelagia Zingatan of Queens was walking across First Avenue on the Upper East Side around 1 p.m. when she was struck by a taxi traveling west on 69th Street.
She was pronounced dead at New York Presbyterian Hospital.
A witness said she saw her dragged and pinned under the cab.
The driver stayed on the scene and no charges have been filed.
