Weather models predict the New York City region will be hit by a moderately strong Nor'easter starting Wednesday afternoon, although it won't be nearly as strong or devastating as Sandy.

There will be moderate winds, gusts will reach up to 50 mph, and a lot of rain. Early estimates call for two to four inches in the five boroughs.

It is possible that the storm will last into Thursday morning.

While damage from the storm should be minimal, recovery efforts throughout the city could be delayed.

Some minor flooding is expected to occur in the Rockaways along the roads immediately adjacent to the ocean during high tide, but most areas of the city won't see anything. Some highways may flood due to the rain.
