The spire that will cap off One World Trade Center is on its way to Manhattan.
A barge carrying the largest sections set sail from Vallyfield, Quebec last Friday. It's expected to arrive at Port Newark early next week.
From there, the pieces, ranging in weight from 5 to 67 tons, will be readied for transfer to Lower Manhattan.
Smaller pieces will be trucked to the city in mid-December.
The 408-foot spire will eventually top off One World Trade Center at 1,776 feet, making it the tallest building in the western hemisphere.
