30 Treated At Scene Of Manhattan High Rise Fire

The New York City Fire Department said that 30 people were treated at the scene of a fire at a high rise building in Manhattan's Financial District Friday.
Firefighters were called to the scene at approximately 9 a.m. Friday.
The fire was in the basement of a high rise building at 55 Water St, according to fire officials. The building suffered significant damage during Hurricane Sandy.
Companies with offices housed at the 54-story building include Standard & Poor's, EmblemHealth and the New York City Department of Transportation.
The building's website says the building still does not have power.
Of the 30 treated at the scene, fire officials say one was a firefighter and one was a Consolidated Edison worker. The rest, according to fire officials, were civilians.
Four patients were transported to New York Hospital due to smoke inhalation, according to fire officials.
According to fire officials, the fire was under control at approximately 11:05 a.m. Friday.
The cause of the fire is still unclear, according to officials.
