There's still no date for the reopening of New York Harbor's two biggest attractions.

The National Park Service has already said the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island will not reopen before the end of 2012.

Both were shut down after Hurricane Sandy.

The statue itself received little damage, but the surrounding docks, a brick promenade and other facilities on Liberty Island need repairs.

The National Park Service is currently working on restoring the administrative building on Ellis Island.

It also delivered temporary storage units to Liberty Island, and the service's incident management team is working on winterizing its buildings.
