Fast Food Workers Rally For Higher Pay

Fast food workers rallied against several chains Thursday, including Burger King and McDonald's, saying they want a living wage.
Employees are asking for $15 an hour plus benefits, along with the right to join a union.
They said what they earn is not enough to survive on.
"These people make billions and billions of dollars a year, and it's just ridiculous that they're not willing to bargain or they're not willing to sit down and have a contract," said Pamela Waldron, a fast food employee.
"Your crew workers are the ones who are generating this money for you," said Linda Archer, a fast food employee. "So please. $15 isn't a lot. Give us a raise."
Burger King said it supports the growth of all its employees, pointing out that some who started at entry level went on to own their own franchises.
In a statement, The National Restaurant Association added the industry has "...provided opportunities for millions of Americans, as nearly half of all adults have worked in the industry, and more than one out of three adults got their first job experience in a restaurant."
