The landmark Stage Deli has taken its final curtain call.
The famed Manhattan restaurant is now closed.
The only warning some customers had was a sign on the door, which read "Thanks for 75 Years."
A worker at the restaurant told NY1 the owners were having financial problems and fighting with the landlord.
Those NY1 spoke with said it's sad their favorite spot has served its last meals.
"I looked and I saw 'Wait a minute, there's nobody in there,'" said one customer. "Then, we saw the sign and that was it. Hey, they had great chicken noodle soup. That's what I used to come here for all the time."
"We just knew about it this morning because a couple of workers, they were just leaving, and we asked them why are they leaving," said another. "They said that the place is closed. They don't know why. They don't have an answer either."
NY1 has reached out to the owners but have not heard back.
