An FDNY Santa, Frosty and some elves surprised children at New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center in Manhattan.
They greeted the kids on a cherry picker and then headed inside to give out gifts and sing Christmas carols.
"I was surprised," one child said.
"It was great seeing all the kids smiling faces," a parent said. "Today's our last day in the hospital, we've been here for three and a half weeks so this is a good way out. It makes him feel good that Christmas is coming and we'll be home for Christmas."
"That's my reward. You know I mean to see these kids smile and to just- you know I enjoy their company. And I walk outta here feeling just a little bit better so that's the reward that I get to come up here."
The annual event is put on by the New York Firefighters Burn Center Foundation.
