New Yorkers gathered at the 9/11 Memorial to celebrate Midnight Mass.
Victims' families and recovery workers have gathered at the World Trade Center site on
Christmas each year since the terror attacks in 2001.
Father Brian Jordan presided over the ceremony, which was much smaller this year because of ongoing construction at the site.
Special prayers were also said for victims of Hurricane Sandy and for those who died in the school massacre in Newtown, Conn.
