With just a few days left before the end of Kwanzaa, celebrations are in full swing.
The traditional Kinara candles are staying lit at the African Burial Ground National Monument in downtown Manhattan, where Kwanzaa will be celebrated until January 1.
Visitors can expect to see a variety of ceremonies, events and activities celebrating African culture, such as traditional African wire doll making.
There's also a performance of the "Black Nutcracker", a version of the traditional Nutracker story infused with various styles of African-American dance.
